Brisket Sessions is back – well, sort of. We’re hosting a very special, Taco Sessions as we serve a taco dinner and host a viewing party with Jarod Neece and Mando Rayo, creators of "The Tacos of Texas" book. We’ll be showcasing their newly released, 7-part docuseries that explores the most iconic tacos across Texas in 10 minute each short films. On May 6 in New York City and May 7 in Washington, D.C., guests will enjoy an array of tacos featured in the screening which includes: Migas (Austin), Tacos Al Pastor (Houston), Barbacoa (Rio Grande Valley), Puffy tacos (San Antonio), Breakfast Tacos (Corpus Christi), Modern Mexican (Dallas) and Carnitas (El Paso). Welcome craft cocktails will be provided by Austin-based sotol distillery, Desert Door, which is a spirit from a wild-harvested Texas sotol plant. Guests will meet Tacos of Texas authors, Jarod Neece and Mando Rayo, and enjoy a special Q&A at the end of the evening moderated by popular food editor, host and contributor to Bon Appetit magazine, Rick Martinez. Cocktails begin at 6pm, docuseries and dinner at 6:30 p.m. with Q&A at 8:30 p.m. Tacos of Texas books will be available for purchase at the event.
